Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science

Hi, I’m Dave Scriven,

I’m extremely grateful to be a physio, business owner, family man and to live in this beautiful town of Denmark. My family and I spend our spare time at the beach, being active and contributing to a number of great community and sporting organisations in town.

I love being a Physio and I strive for a high level of care for my patients and constantly stay up to date with the forefront of physiotherapy best practice. I place a strong value on developing a great relationship with my patients and empowering them to achieve their individual goals.

My studies include a Masters of Physiotherapy degree from Curtin University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science, from Edith Cowen University. This combination provides me with a strong skill set and ability to provide a clinical diagnosis and specific treatment, as well managing individuals through later stage strength and conditioning, in order to achieve personal goals or improve performance.

I have over 10 years experience, working in physiotherapy clinics and sports medicine centers, including a number of years in Melbourne where I was fortunate to work alongside elite and professional level team physios and professional athletes. Whilst I have a special interest in sports rehab, I love helping a wide range of people in our community, young and old, who might be aiming to move better, stronger or just pain free.

At Ocean Beach Physio, I want to know what drives you as an individual and what you want to achieve. This ensures we not only treat your injury specifically, but your treatment, exercises and recovery strategies are specifically targeted towards your goals. This might sound like enjoying your morning laps of Greens Pool; digging in the veggie patch; running in the school carnival; climbing the stairs; lifting your baby from the cot or recovering well post-surgery.

For any further information please feel free to contact me to see what Ocean Beach Physiotherapy can do for you.

I look forward to seeing you!

Kind Regards,

Dave
